Silence reigned save Ollivander’s frantic muttering. Wooden boxes hitting wooden shelves, dust scattering throughout air; sending Hermione’s heart into a flutter. Since a young age books were her passion. Her eyes gorged on every knowledgeable word until she feared there might not be enough to learn. Upon her tenth year it changed. A witch. Her mind focused and unfocused with each piece of wood put into her fingers. Tiny sparks then a tornado of power around her. Her wand. Yet more powerful than that, a new world to explore and endless things to learn.
